Following the addition of Holiday Homes and 2nd Homes to the CX Let contract we are pleased to confirm that these risks are treated as occupied throughout the year subject to certain criteria such as your client or their agent inspecting the Holiday/Second Home every 14 days, and keep records of visits. This is to make sure that all outside doors are securely locked, all ground-floor and accessible upper-floor windows are securely fastened and any broken windows boarded up and the home and all yards and areas surrounding the home are free from fuel and waste materials.
As long as this is complied with full perils are granted throughout the year and there is no need for your client to advise every time the property is not used for more than 30 days
