CX Landlords Contents - New & Improved for 08
As part of our ongoing strategy to continually improved the Commercial Express range of products we are delighted to announce the re-launch of CX Landlords Contents for 2008.
Underwritten by Equity Red Star, CX landlords Contents is designed to provide contents cover for landlords that rent out part or fully furnished houses and apartments / Flats agents.
From the 1st January agents will now be able to arrange cover up to £5,000 contents whilst the property is permanently unoccupied. Additional features include:
- There is no time restriction whilst the property is left unoccupied
- Cover is limited to Fire, Lightning, Aircraft and Explosion
- Cover is only available for carpets, curtains, sun blinds, light fixtures & fittings and kitchen white goods
- Policy excess whilst unoccupied is £150
- A rate of 2% is chargeable if the property is unoccupied at inception

We would like to take this opportunity to remind agents of the other benefits associated with CX Landlords Contents:
- Cover is available on a new for old basis for loss or damage (excluding malicious damage by tenants). Cover includes replacement of locks following theft of keys, loss of metered water plus loss of rent up to 20% of the sum insured. For an additional premium you can have the benefit of extending cover to include accidental damage if professionals tenant the property.
- The CX Landlords Contents optional cover “Landlords Legal Expenses” underwritten by Norwich Union has been improved so to include cover for pursuit of rent arrears, cover to evict tenants & landlords legal defence cover against both civil and criminal proceedings.
- CX Landlords Contents benefits a minimum premium of £93.75 including IPT & £15 policy fee and brokerage of 20%
