Effective from 1st December 2007 the standard professional and student CX Let rate will be increased to 0.16%. CX Portfolio (Residential) will also see an increase, whilst CX Commercial and CX Portfolio (Commercial) remain unaltered.
As a result of significant flooding events of June and July insurers have decided to impose a 25% premium load to postcodes with an increased risk of flooding, this in effect represents only 3% of the UK. In order to confirm whether or not the risk address is subject to a premium loading please enter the risk details using either ceqonline or the new "Quick Quote" engine. Please note the premium loading applies to all products except CX Landlords Contents.
The Quick Quote facility is the latest innovation from Commercial Express and does not require you to log in to the secure system to obtain a premium indication.
Policies with a renewal date prior to the 1st January 2008 will continue to be invited using the old rating structure and thereafter the new rating matrix will apply. In line with our business strategy to develop Commercial Express into a fully online underwriting agency we have taken the decision to remove the manual “hold covered request forms” from circulation and replace them with an indication card.
With effect from 1st December 2007 all new business will need to be transacted online. We will continue to maintain and accept renewals arranged on a manual basis but would ask agents to consider the advantages of transferring a policy onto our online system.
CX Portfolio will continue to be accepted on a manual basis. Additional properties to an existing manual policy will also be accepted.
